About this artwork
Gary Propper was a good friend and east coast surfing legend. He passed in his sleep on March 14, 2019. Hipsher finally got around to making this tribute painting a year later. It captures the bright colors and surf feel of Cocoa Beach, Florida - Propper's hometown and final resting place. If you squint, you can make out a surfing figure on the right side, crouching and riding the wave underneath.
