About this artwork
This painting was inspired by my love of movies, movie stars, cartoon characters, rock and roll music, California beach scenes, surfing, Beach Boys songs, Andy Warhol, and pop art.. Composing all these elements together, along with my art tools and paint spatters, I came up with "Flick Chicks"...all my favorite females that starred in the movies. The 45 RPM record and a few paper photos are collaged items.

Chuck Middlekauff is a mixed media painter with a BA in Fine Art from Metropolitan State University of Denver, and an Associate Degree in Design and Advertising from the Art Institute of Colorado, Denver, Colorado.
He spent several years in graphic design and commercial art in Denver, and Los Angeles before pursuing a career as a fine artist.
Chuck paints American culture icons in visually stimulating bright colors and bold graphic compositons. He wants others to experience the things the way he sees them, the America of today, and of days gone by, but in a fresh and unusual way.
Chuck says, "I paint everything I have ever seen or heard that excited me."
