About this artwork
Fast hot sleek sexy… Tango isn’t just a dance, it’s a culture. Realized in sweeping graceful lines with dancing shadow, brilliant color and exquisite plays of light in this spectacular piece by CKCooper. The sculpture by itself is stunning. By simply shining a light on the wire mesh of the sculpture, you gain an unbelievably lifelike shadow on the wall behind the piece. CK works under a spot light in a darkened studio to sculpt the shadows perfectly.…
These incredible works are all handmade using only simple hand tools. No forms or molds are ever used, so each sculpture will vary slightly from the others in the edition.

« Some pieces take a few days, some take months, a few have taken years to finish. »
CK Cooper is a US sculptor with national exposure. Working with mesh, her pieces seek to capture the movement of light and shadow in a static form. She uses simple tools to work the mesh, only stopping when she is satisfied with the final result. Her works are light, airy and graceful.
