About this artwork
The artist, through this ink on canvas, questions the balances, those between men, but also the balances of men in the face of nature. We find in this work the minimalist line of the artist, his aspirations for emerging movements and the place that each tries to occupy. We can clearly see the work of ink on the canvas and the effects of absorption. The artist incorporates walnut stain to create earthy colors. This canvas is framed in an American…
box whose black color brings out even more the intensity of the brushstrokes. The artist does not prepare his paintings, she starts from a blank page and improvises the staging. This supports the strength of the painting. We can thus perceive different postures, disproportions between the silhouettes, which is the most present. And at the bottom of the canvas, a balance that seems reversed. This canvas could sound like an original song, a choreography.

Claire B. Masimbert is a French painter and sculptor whose works have been exhibited nationally. In her figurative compositions, which she identifies with modern art brut, her subjects are often depicted in movement. This symbolizes an encounter, the otherness, and the reflection of the other in the mirror. Masimbert describes her characters as "seeking to advance and to allow themselves to be". Her painterly compositions are created using acrylics and India ink, her sculptures are made of cement, wood, and steel.
