About this artwork
In a vortex of impressions, enveloped in boreal light, I discovered Kae, the daughter and granddaughter of Japanese dancers, who always danced with a special magic and tried to combine the traditional and the modern in her culture.
As she danced, she created a world of her own that was so far away and so close at the same time. She shared this world with anyone who… wanted to pause for a moment and take the time to look at it.
The last night of the year came, and once more Kae danced with the fire on the island of ice, stopping the movement of time in a perpetual "déjà-vu" that took one back to ancestral times.
