About this artwork
In this series of paintings, transparent, circles created with very wet paint, overlap each other, creating a whole that becomes more than each individual circle.
The paint used is fluid acrylic or watercolor, but the outline of each circle is distinct. This way each unit keeps its own individuality as it also merges into a new entity.

« I’m interested in exploring the interaction of chance and predetermined structures with my inspiration coming from nature. The dialogue of chance, gesture, and structure is the basis for my artwork. »
Clare Asch is a Hungarian artist based in the United States whose paintings have been featured in several solo exhibitions nationally. Her creative process combines an expressive approach with geometric structure. Influenced by abstract expressionism and color field painting, when Asch creates she does not think in terms of theories or messages, she simply paints what she feels.
