In this painting I fuse passionate reds with bold blues. "In some of my painting phases, ships or boats appear every now and then. When I finished the painting in 2019, it was a feeling of relief and acceptance for me. "To just keep sailing, to take on new challenges in life despite headwinds and to fight through storms and depths." Claudia Acksteiner works with acrylic and oil paints as well as with fluorescent and luminescent pigments. She trained as a painter and studied art therapy. Her artistic practice is characterized by a versatile, intuitive and experimental style in which she likes to change her techniques and cross conventional boundaries. Acksteiner's works are metaphorical transcendence of the visible, inspired by light, nature and the depths of the human soul, creating feelings of longing, hope and mindfulness.
