About this artwork
In my artwork "Ship" I used acrylic paints and phosphorescent pigments to create an abstract and symbolic representation. The strong black and white spatula tones create a dynamic tension and invitation to inner dialogue. This painting embodies the human emotions and impulses of security and rediscovery. It is intended to challenge the viewer to reflect on their own experiences and insights.

Claudia Acksteiner works with acrylic and oil paints as well as with fluorescent and luminescent pigments. She trained as a painter and studied art therapy. Her artistic practice is characterized by a versatile, intuitive and experimental style in which she likes to change her techniques and cross conventional boundaries. Acksteiner's works are metaphorical transcendence of the visible, inspired by light, nature and the depths of the human soul, creating feelings of longing, hope and mindfulness.
