About this artwork
This image, created from an acrylic painting I created, which I photographed, digitally manipulated multiple times, and printed on canvas, depicts an old newspaper article as the phoenix's head—because nothing is as old as yesterday's newspaper. For me, it symbolizes the world of media. New news stories constantly emerge, or old ones are repackaged. And in today's fast-paced world, one must constantly reinvent oneself.
Finding a way out of the… current crises is also a theme in my art. With this painting, I also want to express the hope that the earth will recover and become a livable and beautiful place.
