About this artwork
In this work, I combine figurative elements with semi-abstract ones. Since I enjoy drawing as much as painting, I developed a series in which I sketch the landscape very roughly and paint the sky above it in color. The different techniques and the contrast between color and black and white create strong contrasts and breaks. The images are primarily effective due to their composition, but they remain deliberately unfinished.
