Claudia Yates is a prizewinning painter whose works have received international exposure. Using acrylic paints, oil pastels and pencil on linens, paper and wood, Yates creates her beautiful portraits inspired by stories, legends and myths wherein the role of women changes from victim to heroin. The color red is featured predominantly in her works and represents sensuality and passion. A former photography student, Yates is also versed in collage and sculpture.
