About this artwork
"Merel" (Voronoi version)
In this work, I wanted to capture the vibrant essence of nature through the use of an intense, intricate pattern over the silhouette of a bird.
This bird represents freedom and beauty in its most stylized form, evoking a sense of calm and admiration.
When you contemplate it, its presence in your home will bring a touch of serenity and a constant reminder of the vastness and depth of the avian world.
*I have had to… draw and represent various birds, having previously received a commission from a textile company (to generate patterns from the drawings).
Then I turned some of those sketches into 3D, or into object ideas, as in this case.
Many times, I observe birds that stop in the garden of the house, or in one place or another.
In this object, use special software to create a special pattern on the surface.
