About this artwork
We see a white, irregular surface from which a woman's head with black hair looks. The young woman with dark eyes and full, red lips looks at us mischievously and cheerfully. Ever since a study trip to Greenland, the artist has been fascinated by the indigenous population. A snapshot of an Inuit woman inspired her to create this portrait. The technique used gives the impression of an ice surface with a peephole scratched into it.
