About this artwork
Many different techniques and processes are found in this work full of energy. It is the first canvas in the series of "patchwork" which combines structure of the composition and letting go in the way of painting. During its execution, the painter did not really know where he was going except that he wanted to surprise himself, hence this desire to vary the effects as much as possible: spray paint, stencil, oil paint with a small precise brush, big…
lively lines of wide spaltels, juice, material... As for the choice of colors, there again, no desire to do something shimmering, quite the contrary. Then, without warning, by removing the protective tape from a freshly painted part, the canvas appeared. Urban but not too much, above all abstract, dirty and harmonious, the canvas gave off so many contradictions and pictorial force that it turned out to be finished.
