About this artwork
“My Color Play”
From the three primary colors unfolds a fascinating play of colors, a virtually infinite realm of combinations and nuances. Their blends create a sea of tones so diverse that it seems difficult to grasp. Every mixing ratio, every subtle addition of white or black, lends the color a new soul. Thus, one could say: hundreds, even thousands of shades find their way into the world, like unheard melodies waiting to be discovered.
And… when fine varnishes capture and amplify the light, the image opens up in all its brilliance – infinity becomes tangible.
In playing with colors, in carefully filtering them out from the great noise of life, I assimilate a sound of colors.
This is how my color melody is created, a harmonious interplay that you can not only see but also hear. Each of my paintings will never be boring, for it contains countless color tones.
Conny Gabora completed his art studies at the Kolbermoor Academy as a master student of Professor Markus Lüpertz. He is a passionate painter and draftsman. He works with a figurative-abstract aesthetic, creating flowing acrylic surfaces and incorporating drawings into them. His works reflect a bold expression of utopia and rebellion against oppressive social realities and illustrate his desire to foreground a 'Pling, pling, superding world.' With a profound view of humanity and society, Gabora holds up a mirror to us, evoking raw, provocative emotions and thoughts.
