Sharing a dance is already a moment of exchange of emotion between two bodies of rare intensity. And believe me, it can reach incredible levels of sensuality in the evenings lulled by the captivating rhythms of West Indian music.
But having had the privilege of attending the rehearsal of a Modal Underground choreography supervised by the talented Thierry Verger Eizra (#thierry_verger_eizra) was a remarkable experience.
I had arrived early for my… taekwondo training, thinking I would take more time to prepare. But the room, plunged into darkness, had been taken over by my friend who was giving a lesson.
The incredible flexibility, technicality and absolute control of the movements and sequences, although carried out with indescribable grace, betrayed the hard work that had to be accomplished to achieve such a level of perfection.
The union of body and spirit was ultimate, the soul of the contemplator shaken.
