About this artwork
This is an oil painting on a custom-made canvas panel. It is in a red ochre pine floating frame ready to hang. This painting comes with its unique story and a certificate of authenticity.
Inspired by my outback travels some years back and a combination of my love of trees and large rocks. I often ponder about the symbolism of things. Rocks are often associated with someone’s stubbornness. While we often think of the negative connotations with… stubbornness, it can be a good thing in times of recovery - not giving in to the current situation, but determined to turn adversity around. “As Solid as a Rock” portrays that passion and strength we have inside us to endure challenging times. The tree is alongside to help grow and change through those tough times.
