About this artwork
Mara is a portrait that speaks from deep within my soul. She symbolizes the dark, silent moments of life when despair and pain cross the path. Her tear-filled eyes reflect a world of inner struggle, those moments when the silent cry for comfort and clarity fades away. But Mara's despair is not the end - it is rather a symbol of transformation and self-discovery.
On her chest rests a withered… coneflower flower, a powerful symbol of transience and change. The coneflower, traditionally representing healing, shows in its withering that even in times of weakness and decline, a new beginning is possible. The flower is a reminder that even in the darkest moments, healing and growth can find their place.
With Mara I tell a personal story of vulnerability, inner conflict and the long road to self-knowledge.

Nature is my greatest muse – its transience and beauty inspire me.
. Using oil paints, acrylic, ash and earth, I create art that goes far beyond what is visible. For me, these natural elements symbolize the cycle of life and remind us that everything earthly is fleeting, but still full of meaning.
My art is meant to touch people – it is meant to evoke silence, peace, but also longing and melancholy. Each picture tells its own story and carries emotions that run deep.
Let yourself be carried away by the power of the elements and the emotions contained in my works.
I invite you to discover the beauty that inspires me in my art.
Let yourself be touched.
