About this artwork
Throughout our lives we are given reminders of how fleeting time can be. This landscape captures a personal moment of reflection, although Cornelia feels we all can relate. My signature gold washed canvas shines through the highly textured painting adding warmth and luminosity.
Cornelia attempted to represent the sense of time passing in this piece, like an hourglass. She chose a bit of an unusual color combination as an experiment.
Life is fragile… as canvas, which has left a deep impact on me. The concise and harrowing phase sums up the fragility of life and rockiness of fate. Life is pure as a piece of white paper when it is born. Yet, it is as fleeting as a galloping white horse against infinite time, as it is fragile and solitary against the volatile world.
Life is vulnerable and transient;it is fragile as paper/canvas.
The painting is made of acrylic paint, gel medium, and canvas fabric on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished black edges. It comes ready to hang.
