Visual artist born in 1956, graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Paris. Agrégé d'Arts plastiques. Very early on, I exhibited neo-expressionist painting that moved away from "narrative figuration". The first Couples (or Duos) established a dialectical staging within the painting, where masculine-feminine tensions, dialogue and confrontation, masks and figures, and the reversibilities of desire are played out. Since 1993, my work has paved the way for Palimpsests and Brûlées. This approach questions the memory of painting, its materiality, and the threats of its disappearance in the face of time's trials. At the same time, I teach at the university in the Bachelor's and Master's programs in Plastic Arts. In 2009, a retrospective at the Espace des Congrès in Villejuif will demonstrate this approach, while affirming my anchoring to the figurative body in Duos, Solos, Curiosities, and Fauns. I am represented by the GENERAL ART ZONE gallery in Les Sables d'Olonne.
