About this artwork
I make tangible the raw energy that arises when stillness meets new beginnings.
In my work "Storm," I focus on the maximum tension of a sudden change in the weather. For me, the image symbolizes the untamed power of nature and the necessity of its release.
My inspiration: I am fascinated by the moment when a bright, almost silent environment is broken up by a dark, powerful center.
Structure and color: I worked with deep earth tones and striking… crack patterns to give the storm a tactile, almost archaic depth.
This painting is for me an expression of strength and passion and is intended to give the viewer the opportunity to rediscover their own inner dynamism in it.
