Dagmar Stücher's art is based on the principle of "deliberate chance"—a creative dialogue between intuition and the laws of nature. Her work is guided by two special muses: the alchemy of chemistry and the transformative power of fire. Using materials such as lime putty, ash, Carrara marble dust, and pigments from around the world, she allows chemical reactions to occur, creating spontaneous cracks and organic tensions on the canvas. These processes are complemented by the targeted use of fire, which leaves powerful marks.
Alongside these material experiments, her portfolio also includes precise acrylic compositions that focus on color and dynamism. Through the constant interplay of layering, deconstruction, and construction, works of extraordinary depth emerge. Stücher's art is an invitation to pause—an emotional transformation that one is not only meant to observe but often also to explicitly feel.
