Holding Motion explores the paradox of movement suspended in time, a gesture that seems to flow forward while being held in place. Built through layered mixed media and reclaimed materials, the composition becomes a tactile landscape of tension, rhythm, and resistance.
Fragments of magazine pages, denim, wire mesh, and a wooden frame element are embedded into the surface, creating a dialogue between softness and structure, memory and construction.… The interlocking shapes suggest an inner architecture: flexible forms constrained by boundaries, yet never fully contained.
With its bold palette and physical relief, Holding Motion invites the viewer to read the painting both visually and materially, as a contemporary object where personal narrative and urban texture coexist.
