About this artwork
Spring Valley is a celebration of a tree caught in its most luminous moment, branches alive with golden blooms against a deep cobalt trunk that anchors the entire composition. I painted this in oil on paper, drawn to the way spring light scatters unevenly through a valley, touching some leaves with pure yellow and leaving others in warm shadow. The undulating landscape below mirrors the tree above's energy, as though the earth itself is responding…
to the season. For me, this work is about the quiet exuberance of nature renewing itself, not dramatic, but deeply felt.
