« For me, painting is a process of searching, revelation, and redemption. It is physical, improvisatory, and illuminating. The act is the discovery. In making art, I am alive. »
Dan Gottsegen is an experimented American painter who has extensively exhibited throughout the United States. His works are featured in the permanent collection of the United States House of Representatives, the Oakland Museum of Art, as well as the United States Department of State, to name a few. Gottsegen’s work has long been focused on his active engagement with the natural environment. His visual language bridges the digital and painterly, seeking juxtapositions and relationships that reveal truth.
