About this artwork
My poem describes very well this painting:
Have you ever spoken to the moon,
as though its glow could answer you?
Have you reached out to find what lies
beyond the far side of its blue?
Have you seen flowers do such things,
their quiet gestures soft and clear?
And what an ammonite might mean
when resting in a tree so near?
Do you now sense what all this speaks,
the thread that winds through every part—
the conversation shaped in dusk,
the echo… rising from the heart?
Talking to a moon is an oil on organic linen with vegan painterly ground. This work was exhibited at Golden Duck Gallery 31.III-25.IV.2026 in Budapest, Hungary.
Dan Zyzniewski is a painter with a background in abstraction, poetry, and psychology, deeply influenced by music and dance. He uses expressive, thick oil paints—often applied alla prima and with a spatula—drawing inspiration from XXth century avant-garde, especially abstract expressionism and fauvism. His art is a visualized poem: vibrant, sculptural, and immersed in nature, psyche, and creation itself. His work conveys a profound emotional resonance, inviting viewers to experience the joy and raw energy of existence and creation.
