About this artwork
In contrast to concrete photography, the focus here is not on pure photography, working with light, but on a real situation. An abstract figure made of malleable sand, seemingly without any recognizable function, is brought into a form that is detached from reality by special lighting. The result is a photograph reduced to the pure color effect.
It is a photographic work in which an abstract sand figure is brought into a surreal, almost unreal form… using special lighting techniques and colors. Daniel Bahrmann is a German photographer who has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in Japan, Czechia, and Belgium. While the body of his art focuses on documentation, reportage and landscapes, he also creates abstract and conceptual compositions. In his macro photography, introduces differing points of view, revealing new and unknown worlds to the viewer. Bahrmann's digital pieces are printed on metal, paper, and cardboard.
