About this artwork
1988 THE TRAVELING WILBURYS — George Harrison speaking for Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty, "We know that you're Bob Dylan, but we're going to treat you and talk to you just like we would anybody else," Dylan replied, "Well, great. Believe it or not, I'm in awe of you guys, and it's the same for me."
1988 THE NEVER-ENDING TOUR BEGINS — Apparently, the 47-year-old was planning to spend his future on a bus. Before anyone realized it, he averaged… a concert every 3 days for over 30 years. Dylan, "These days, people are lucky to have a job, any job. Anybody with a trade can work as long as they want ...They don't necessarily need to retire."
WIGGLE, WIGGLE — Some say it's his worst song ever. You don't like nursery rhymes? Gabby Goo Goo (daughter, Desiree) loves it. Great googly moogly; this is no song for the kiddies! Wait 'til you hear "This Old Man". Take a second listen. Look beyond the spilled milk, you'll find cream.

About the series:
WHAT WAS HE (Bob Dylan) THINKING?
In 1964, when Bob Dylan sang these first two lines of
I SHALL BE FREE No.10
"I’m just average, common too,
I’m just like him, the same as you"
I wanted to believe him. But I was not just like him. Besides, I couldn’t sing, let alone play guitar. Sixty-five years later, I’m still listening and often still wonder — What Was HE Thinking?
The SQUARE IMAGE TRIPTYCHS highlight moments within Bob Dylan’s career while simply questioning what he was thinking during those situations. (Special configurations (Your choice of any 3) requests accepted).
The RECTANGULAR IMAGES illustrate a song’s lyrics, literally, the way I heard them the first time, straightforward without concern as to what Bob might have meant. It’s all about the visuals. Some reflect a single line or a single verse, while others include imagery for every verse of a song.
