Daniel Ogliastri is an artist who arrived at art by the longest and most profound path. He left his passion for art and architecture to study accounting and contribute to his family, embarking on a life with his Ecuadorian wife that took him through various countries and cultures, shaping his sensibility. After decades in the corporate world, art continued to call to him silently until, upon retiring, he decided to dedicate himself to it completely.
With discipline and remarkable intuition, he works with oil and clay without formal training, guided by years of observation and human experiences. His work focuses on the figure and the face, with a particular admiration for women, especially Black women, symbols of strength, heritage, future, and beauty not always honored as they deserve. Today, he is experiencing a creative rebirth, using each brushstroke to rediscover himself, heal, and honor the stories that have accompanied him throughout his life.
