About this artwork
This painting uses some unusual pigments. The iridescent white band is easily apparent in the photograph but the interference blue which is mostly overpainted is not. The iridescent paint is highly reflective of the environment the painting is placed in and the interference pigment changes color based on the viewing angle.

Daniel Deluna is an established American artist who has exhibited his painting, drawing and digital work internationally. Deluna's work has been greatly impacted by his former engagement with digital media, at the same time retaining a connection to the traditional techniques and styles he gained during his classical training at the Pratt institute. Working with an abstract visual language, Deluna creates richly evocative work influenced by art history, music, and design.
