About this artwork
With this bronze piece, I wanted to talk about balance again. Placed on its side, this sculpture is suspended.
This raises a question about gravity. Is this what balance is? Is it possible to maintain this position? This position is unnatural.
And yet we sometimes find ourselves in this kind of position... Unstable or stable for a moment?
This piece offers a wide variety of contrasting finishes: mirror-polished bronze, engraved, striated, oxidized...…
The patina's hues range from brown to grey-green, passing through deep blues.
