About this artwork
Anne de Montmorency, oil on canvas, 1980. This painting is a historical evocation of the life of the Constable Anne de Montmorency, from a stained glass window located from memory in the Collegiate Church of Montmorency, represented in the background of the painting, and which overlooks the plain of Montmorency. The interest of this work here, in this series, is to mount a painting at the crossroads of my evolution, towards a freer and more spontaneous… style, locked in a quest for style, in my eyes without an object, I open the doors to a freer and more intense creativity. This opening of perspective has directed me towards an exploration of abstraction and figuration by alternation.
Daniel Olivier, a painter and draftsman trained from childhood, excels in the mastery of oil painting, where he experiments with mixtures of rare oils and complex glazes. He blends surrealism, symbolism, and hyperrealism, integrating the harmony of regulating lines and the golden ratio into each composition. His work reveals the poetic and energetic power of nature, inviting the viewer to profound contemplation, a search for beauty, meaning, and a sincere and luminous connection. www.danielolivierpeintre.fr Member of ADAGP, the Taylor Foundation, Mondial Art Academia, the Maxi-realists group of Dan Jacobson at Comparaison, the Circle of European Artists, Member of the Salon d'Automne and of French Artists.
