About this artwork
To be a painter is a different path from that of a decorator, I explore in my painting the expression of feelings, in a dialogue with the soul, in the deepest and in authenticity. Sometimes I visualize a symbolic subject, most of the time, on large formats visible in my series "reserved", these paintings sometimes take me more than 6 months to execute. In this painting, with its strong expression, it had to come out quickly from my guts, to stick…
as close as possible to the intensity. The man looks, behind the barbed wire, on the other side, the lost light, cut off from his soul, he is in despair.
