Daniel Sommergruber, born in 1984 in Tulln, lives and works in Austria. After attending the Vienna Art School, he studied scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna under Erich Wonder and Anna Viebrock, as well as painting and drawing in the master class of Markus Lüpertz. In addition to painting, he has also worked in the field of stage design. His works oscillate between figuration and abstraction, between presence and dissolution. Exhibitions have included the Alte Spinnerei Kolbermoor, the Kunstsalon Schloss Schönbrunn, and Klosterneuburg Monastery. Awards: ART Award 2021 (2nd place), Recognition Award St. Leopold Peace Prize 2018, Purchase Recommendation of the Province of Lower Austria 2022.
His works have also been presented at international art fairs such as the Leipzig Art Fair (2016), the ARTMUC in Munich (2018) and Parallel Vienna 2025
