This charcoal drawing is a hymn to dissolution as metamorphosis. A reflection on contemporary existence, on the individual who discovers himself as fragile, evanescent, yet capable of transformation and blending into the world. In these works we see our collective destiny: to become shadows in the landscape we inhabit, but also the possibility of leaving a mark, a footprint, a breath that, however slight, continues to exist.
Daniela Di Lullo, born in Naples and working in Rome, uses painting, collage, and video, drawing on extensive exhibition experience and a multidisciplinary background. In her works, she experiments with techniques that suspend the human figure between presence and absence: evanescent silhouettes and incomplete presences dissolve into monochrome backgrounds, evoking traces and memories. Her poetic and lucid style guides the viewer toward a reflection on human irrationality, conveying emotions of suspension, melancholy, and liberation immersed in sounds and silences.
