About this artwork
These works are dedicated to the amygdala, to their simple sign on the canvas and to the essential element to which their use corresponded in the hands of the first men.
I started from the concept of the primitive man's chopper as a necessary tool, as opposed to the infinity of objects from which we are instead submerged every day. Primitive man used only one object for everything. By chipping and chipping away at this object, it is also assumed… that the first men began to see something else in its scratches: a profile, an image and perhaps the beginning of the work of art.
