About this artwork
With the work "Red Thread," I wanted to explore and celebrate existence itself as a continuous and interconnected journey. The red thread, which unites the three female figures in a symbolic woodland setting, is the central metaphor of this journey through time: Past, Present, and Future.
I depicted thread as a precious, yet intrinsically fragile, element, "always ready to become tangled and break," to underline the need to handle it with awareness… and delicacy.
The three figures guide us through the emotional dimensions of life: the Past as a story to be jealously guarded; the Present as the time to fully experience emotions and honor life's companions—both the stable ones like "well-planted trees" and the fleeting ones like "leaves blown by the wind." Finally, I wanted to illuminate the Future as a mystery that slowly unfolds, bringing to the awareness that a spiritual light has always remained nearby, illuminating the entire journey.
