About this artwork
Passaggio was born from the desire to narrate a moment of transition, that subtle point where something changes—not noisily, but gracefully. I wanted to represent the boundary between two worlds: day and night, light and shadow, awareness and mystery.
The central figure, with her open and intense gaze, doesn't simply cross a space: she opens it. Her gesture is that of one who welcomes, one who reveals. The hands that pull aside the veil between… light and darkness perform a symbolic act: they invite us to look beyond, to not fear change.
The face is human, but also universal. It is the face of the soul preparing for an inner transition, accepting transformation as part of the natural rhythm of life.
I paint to give shape to what I feel, and Passaggio is this: an invitation to experience change with trust, to recognize the beauty of thresholds, to let light and shadow pass through us with the same openness.
Daniela Prezioso Einwaller is a painter with a solid international artistic background, enriched by numerous exhibitions and awards. Her technique blends rigor and intuition, drawing on Art Nouveau, Jugendstil, Byzantine, and Gothic influences, creating a personal, decorative, and symbolic style. In her works, time, nature, and spirituality become visual metaphors that invite profound reflection, conveying emotions of wonder, introspection, and a connection between the soul and the world.
