INTERFERENCES
Identity is not something definitive.
We are not stable and finished forms. We change, we transform, we go through experiences that leave their mark and lead us, each time, to reassemble ourselves.
In Interferenze I tried to make this process visible through matter.
The surfaces of the faces are fragmented. Small patches overlap like traces, scars, repairs.
They don't hide what happened.
They're holding him back.
The face… remains recognizable, but it is no longer an intact surface: it carries with it the memory of its transformations.
Maybe identity isn't what stays the same, but how we continue to reassemble ourselves.

In her work, the border is not separation, but a space in which identities meet, overlap, and mutually transform each other. Faces and bodies seem to belong simultaneously to themselves and to each other, revealing an identity that is never definitive.
Painting thus becomes a space for questioning: where does the individual end and the other begin? How much of who we are arises from encounters, memories, and the relationships that exist within us?
