About this artwork
In the creation of this work, I worked on overlaps between the figurative and semi-abstract. The high diagonal of the skateboard deck carried on the girl's shoulder is counterpointed by the abstract verticals of the signs engraved and traced with the brush. The face, half hidden by the hat, escapes the viewer's gaze. This painting fills every space with intensity and character.
