About this artwork
In this artwork, I wanted to capture the joy and lightheartedness of a summer day by the sea. The vibrant colors and dynamic shapes evoke a world full of life, where a sense of escape and freedom prevails. This piece will bring a bright and festive energy, ideal for illuminating your home with a touch of happiness and carefree joy.
Danièle Jasselin, a painter and illustrator trained at the Rennes School of Fine Arts, works with acrylics enhanced with Posca markers, a technique inherited from her passion for vibrant color and the dynamics of life. Her style belongs to the realm of outsider art, blending free figuration and illustration, always imbued with boundless imagination. In her seascapes and colorful scenes, she conveys an intense joy of living and the capacity to find wonder in the everyday. I was born by the sea in Dinard, Brittany, and I live in Rennes. Hence the seascapes, small fish and small ships and other escapism.
You have to love life and life will love you back. Danièle Jasselin.
