About this artwork
Kecak is a traditional Balinese dance accompanied by the rhythmic chanting ("cak-cak-cak") of a choir of hundreds of men without musical instruments. This photo was taken in a theater in Uluwatu and was used as the backdrop for this apoptosis. Here, the forms resemble souls, spirits, and essences moving around the ancient ritual: protected, serene, and tranquil, like everything on the island of Bali.
