About this artwork
My first self-portrait to develop my movement of “symbolic expressionism”. As I am painting the devil he is coming loose from his bonds But as he knead at my fingers the blood of suffering produces the diamonds of the soul. The cross keeps him within limits. The vegetation with eyes is a nod to my zany sense of humor which keeps me smiling and builds intestinal fortitude.
