The sea is part of my life and of all the good memories of my childhood. I like the sea when it is like a plate from the high seas and you think you could almost walk on it. I like the naughty sea too, the roar of the waves and their immensity that make me feel very small ... so I prefer to see it from the beach.

Begoña Lafuente is a painter and illustrator based in the Netherlands whose works have been widely exhibited internationally, as well as in Spain. For her, art is a timeless conversation where not everything is said and "the essential is diluted." Lafuente describes her works as a game of combinations that combines materials, textures and colors, improvising new routes for the senses. In addition, she integrates movement and contrast in her compositions to cultivate visual and emotional tension.
