About this artwork
In Between the Strokes captures the fragile boundary between chaos and consciousness. Within a storm of color - electric blues, lilacs, magentas, and silvers - emerges the fluid contour of a nude woman, traced in confident black lines. The abstract expressionist background vibrates with spontaneous energy, evoking both inner turmoil and creative ecstasy. Against this vibrant flux, the simple, almost calligraphic figure becomes an anchor of presence… - an embodiment of human vulnerability within the infinite rhythm of motion. The painting invites the viewer to perceive not only the figure but also the emotional residue between gestures - the space where meaning is born and dissolved. Here, abstraction becomes intimate, and the female form transforms into a metaphor for consciousness itself: elusive, tender, and forever “in between.” Bagrintseva’s layered textures and decisive strokes reveal her mastery of balance between intuition and structure, instinct and reflection.
« I let the energy of the world pass through me and transfer its visual image on my canvas, helping people to fell this energy and be charged by my paintings »
