About this artwork
I painted this artwork inspired by the awakening of life in spring. Spring is a wonderful time, nature is awakening from sleep, the sky is clear and bright, our feelings also wake up, we fall in love, obeying the eternal laws of the universe.
Indeed, contemporary abstract painting, while abstract, often says something coherent and insightful about the state of the world. But the particular kind of abstract I was really interested in — this modernism… of which I was instinctively fond — eschews the notion of an objective truth or even an objective world. The language it employs — such as the concepts "content" and "significance" — suggests something about how the experience of seeing (or sensing or feeling) something in a certain way is understood.

Daria Bagrintseva, graduated from Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Arts and Industry - one of the most prestigious Russian art universities, is an experienced Russian-born painter whose work has featured in exhibitions, publications, and collections in Russia, USA, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Norway, Denmark, Holland, Cyprus, and India. She has been awarded numerous national and international art prizes notably the American Art Awards and Milan International Art Award. Additionally, her paintings were acquired by the State Russian Museum and the Museum of Russian Art.
In her work, Daria explores a range of themes, from nude to landscape, Art Deco to abstract. Her artistic aesthetic is marked by intense colors and a sense of lightness.
