About this artwork
Abstract art uses visual language of shape, form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world. The sources from which individual artists drew their theoretical arguments were diverse, and reflected the social and intellectual preoccupations in all areas of Western culture at that time.
Abstract art, non-figurative art, non-objective art, and non-representational art are… closely related terms. They are similar, but perhaps not of identical meaning.
Abstraction indicates a departure from reality in depiction of imagery in art. This departure from accurate representation can be slight, partial, or complete. Abstraction exists along a continuum. Even art that aims for verisimilitude of the highest degree can be said to be abstract, at least theoretically, since perfect representation is likely to be exceedingly elusive.

Daria Bagrintseva, graduated from Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Arts and Industry - one of the most prestigious Russian art universities, is an experienced Russian-born painter whose work has featured in exhibitions, publications, and collections in Russia, USA, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Norway, Denmark, Holland, Cyprus, and India. She has been awarded numerous national and international art prizes notably the American Art Awards and Milan International Art Award. Additionally, her paintings were acquired by the State Russian Museum and the Museum of Russian Art.
In her work, Daria explores a range of themes, from nude to landscape, Art Deco to abstract. Her artistic aesthetic is marked by intense colors and a sense of lightness.
