About this artwork
Longing for the beautiful May chestnut blossoms in my green and beloved hometown of Kyiv, I created this painting as a tribute to that fleeting, fragrant season. As I worked on it, the canvas gradually transported me deeper into the feeling of late spring in Ukraine—just as chestnut trees begin to bloom.
Rendered in a minimalist style, the composition features only a few flowering branches of the chestnut tree, stretching delicately toward the sun.… The silver-leaf background reflects the surrounding environment, making the viewer and their space part of the artwork—and the artwork part of its surroundings.
This large-scale piece (120 × 120 cm), created in 2025, is painted with oil on linen canvas and finished with silver metal leaf. It is both a personal memory and a universal celebration of renewal, light, and the quiet poetry of nature.

I am a Ukrainian artist, holding a bachelor's degree in Cultural Events Directing from Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. Furthering my passion for art, I pursued Contemporary Art at the Kyiv Academy of Media Arts. Since 2013, art has been my full-time dedication.
