About this artwork
In this black and white photo collage I attempt to capture the inextricable connection between human emotions and the natural environment. The delicate and sometimes washed out images weave together moments of intimacy and contemplation. My intention was to explore the depth and complexity of our emotional landscapes. Through analogue techniques I created a piece that is both timeless and profound, bringing the energy of real human experiences into… your home.
Daria Sonja Kehrer, with her background as a painter, skillfully uses acrylic and watercolor as her preferred media. Through the use of action painting and abstract techniques, she brings out religious symbolism and elemental aspects of nature with esoteric care. Her works, characterized by intense visions and deep meditation, exude a powerful ecstasy and intuitive emotional depth.
