Daria Tkacheva’s new artwork «LOVERS» tells an abstract love story in three contrasting colours: red, white and black. Crimson is deemed the brightest tone of red colour - in this case it is the colour of Eros that symbolises deep instinctive attraction, tension and pleasure. The lovers pass through passion, conflicts and harmony - there states replace each other in a cycle, the same way as the colour palette does. Black… and white accents balance out the mood of the painting and give it more depth.

Tkacheva believes that looking at her paintings is akin to reading her book, and she finds strength in this process. Her abstract compositions play with vibrant colors and are created using acrylics, oil pastels, and charcoal.
